Overlooking a quiet mountain stream where red-winged blackbirds nest, Redwing Studio is a creative venue for fiber art and art instruction located in northwestern NC.
For more than 30 years Susan Sharpe has created original artwork here. By working in a variety of fiber media and processes that include weaving, paper making, dyeing and screen printing, she explores a full range of expressive possibilities. Workshops and private instruction are available in these processes as well as in drawing, design, and creativity . With more than 40 years of teaching experience in a variety of settings, Sharpe tailors the instruction to fit artists and educators of all ages. She exhibits in regional galleries and national competitions and has won numerous awards. |
